For over three years, we’ve worked with Jocelyn on Arise Health Studios’ Pilates spaces in Thornbury, Reservoir and Coburg, planning mirror walls around each studio’s design and class timetable.
Value-Sized Panels With Custom Radius Corners
At the Coburg and Thornbury studios, we combined value-sized mirror panels with custom-cut radius-corner end panels. The rounded ends soften the traditional rectangular edges, creating a flowing mirror wall suited to the studio interiors.
Taller Mirrors For Reservoir’S Higher Ceilings
At the Reservoir studio, we used our taller 2400 × 1200mm value-sized mirrors. The room’s significantly higher ceilings called for taller panels to fill the vertical wall space. LED lighting along the top and bottom of the mirror wall was chosen to give the space a wider feel.
Installed Within A Four-Hour Class Break
With ongoing pre-booked classes, we had a four-hour window to carry the mirrors upstairs and complete installation before classes resumed at 4:30pm. Careful preparation and coordinated handling allowed Jocelyn to keep classes running as normal.
Warm-White Lighting And A Level Mirror Wall
Warm-white LEDs were used at Coburg and Thornbury to create a welcoming mood for free-flowing Pilates classes.
Scotia, skirting boards and slightly uneven floorboards required careful planning. We aligned the mirrors in one straight line and maintained consistent spacing for an even amount of light from the LEDs behind the mirror wall.
The mirrors were raised 330mm above the floor, with their height planned to give clients a full-body reflection while standing or lying on the reformers.
