Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to goods and services supplied by Speedie Glass Mirrors. By approving a quote, paying a deposit or invoice, or instructing us to proceed with an order, you agree to these terms.

Most glass and mirrors supplied by Speedie Glass Mirrors are custom cut or made to order. Production will commence once the required deposit, progress payment or full payment specified on the quote or invoice has been received.

Where measurements or specifications are supplied by the customer, the customer is responsible for checking dimensions, quantities, shapes, finishes and other order details before approving the order.

Once custom cutting, polishing or manufacturing has commenced, changes or cancellations may incur reasonable costs reflecting work already completed, materials ordered or manufactured, and other costs already incurred.

Glass dimensions may vary by approximately 1–2 mm during cutting and polishing unless a tighter tolerance has been expressly agreed in writing. Where a dimension is critical to fit, please advise us before manufacture.

The remaining balance is payable on the day installation is completed unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customers must provide safe, clear and reasonable access to the installation area at the agreed time. Walls and other installation surfaces must be reasonably flat, stable and suitable for the proposed installation. Uneven, bowed or damaged walls may result in visible gaps, variations in alignment or additional preparation being required.

If additional preparation, packing, removal of protruding objects, additional glass cutting or other work is required because of site conditions not reasonably apparent or included in the original quote, we will discuss this with the customer and reasonable additional charges may apply.

Gym equipment, weights, furniture and machinery should be moved clear before we arrive. Additional charges may apply if we are required to move these items, wait for access, return to site or perform additional work not included in the quote.

Customers should advise us before installation of known concealed services, unusual wall construction, hazardous materials or other conditions that may affect the work.

Goods that have not yet been permanently installed or incorporated into the property remain the property of Speedie Glass Mirrors until payment has been received in full.

Payment must be received in full before pickup unless otherwise agreed. Customers are encouraged to inspect all glass and mirrors at collection; we thoroughly inspect products before release.

After collection, the customer is responsible for safe handling, loading, transport and storage, except where a problem is attributable to a failure of the goods to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

Speedie Glass Mirrors is not responsible for damage occurring after collection as a result of customer or third-party handling, transport, storage, misuse or installation.

Changes to dimensions, shape, quantity, edgework or other specifications after production has commenced may incur additional charges. Production and collection dates are estimates unless a specific completion date has been expressly agreed.

Production, cutting and polishing will commence once the required payment has been received. Delivery is made to the address specified on the order or invoice and, unless otherwise agreed, standard delivery is to an accessible ground-floor location.

Customers should inspect goods at delivery and notify us as soon as reasonably possible of visible damage, an incorrect item or another concern.

Delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Delays may occur because of manufacturing, suppliers, traffic, access, weather or other circumstances. Nothing in this clause limits rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

If the customer changes the agreed delivery address, delivery time, order specifications or access requirements, reasonable additional costs resulting from that change may be charged after being communicated to the customer.

If the customer is unable to accept delivery at the agreed time, reasonable costs of redelivery, waiting time, storage or additional transport may apply.

Delivery vehicles may be operated by a single driver. For safety, assistance or suitable lifting equipment may be required for items over 25 kg or otherwise too large or bulky to be safely handled by one person. If safe unloading cannot be completed, delivery may be rescheduled and reasonable additional costs may apply.

Deposits, progress payments and balances are payable in accordance with the relevant quote or invoice. Where payment is overdue, Speedie Glass Mirrors may suspend further work or delivery until outstanding amounts are paid, subject to applicable law.

Work outside the original quoted scope, including additional cutting, edgework, preparation, access work, additional site visits or customer-requested changes, may be treated as a variation and charged separately. Wherever reasonably practicable, additional charges will be communicated before the additional work is carried out.

Custom-cut glass and mirrors cannot be returned simply because the customer changes their mind, no longer requires the item, or supplied incorrect measurements or specifications. Please see our Returns & Refunds policy for more information.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify those guarantees or any other rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
