A mirror installation completed to Strong Pilates’ studio design requirements and tight opening timeline, with oversized panels and white LED lighting.
29 Mirrors To Suit The Studio Layout
One wall used 16 panels of 6mm mirror, each 2700 × 1200mm. A further 13 mirrors measured 2000 × 1200mm. All panels had polished edges and were sized to meet Strong’s detailed Pilates mirror and studio design requirements.
A Revised Specification On A Tight Timeline
Strong’s builder told us they had originally ordered 4mm mirror panels from an overseas supplier, but those panels were too thin for the required large sizes. Speedie Glass Mirrors was then brought in to supply thicker replacement mirrors. With the opening date approaching, we organised a replacement supply and staged installation to meet the studio’s mirror and design requirements.
Handling Oversized 2.7m Panels
The tall 2.7m panels required a three-person team to lift, manoeuvre and install them safely. White LED strip lighting was added along the top of the mirrors to highlight the finished mirror wall.
Completed Within Five Business Days
Strong was working to a tight timeline after a short-notice request. We supplied, delivered and installed all mirrors within five business days of ordering, working from 7am into the evening, including finishes as late as 9:30pm, to meet the deadline.
We split the installation across three large workdays following the order:
- Day 3: the first 10 mirrors were ready for installation.
- Day 4: another 10 mirrors were ready.
- Day 5: the remaining nine mirrors were installed, completing the job.
This staged handover left time for the cleaning company to prepare the mirrors for Strong’s opening-day launch. 🎉
This was the turnaround achieved for this project. We confirm the available schedule for each new installation when quoting.
