Emk.pilates — Kooyong Studio Mirrors

Arched mirrors for the reformer room and rectangular mirrors for barre and ballet training at Emk.pilates in Kooyong. We planned the mirror layout across two rooms, combining precise symmetry with careful handling through tight turns to an upstairs studio in a classic Victorian building.

Emk.pilates — Kooyong · Arched Reformer Studio Mirrors

Project Details

Client: Emk.pilates
Location: Kooyong, Melbourne
Spaces: reformer Pilates room and barre/ballet training room
Reformer mirrors: three arched-top panels, 2000mm high × 1000mm wide
Barre and ballet mirrors: two rectangular panels, 1800mm high × 1200mm wide
Alignment: evenly spaced and laser-levelled
Access: upstairs in a classic Victorian building with tight turns

Arched Mirrors With Precise Symmetry

Each of the three arched mirrors was positioned in front of a reformer. Even spacing and laser levelling kept the panels aligned, creating a balanced, symmetrical arrangement along the studio wall.

The 2000 × 1000mm arched mirrors complement the classic Victorian building’s tall windows and period detailing. Their curved tops suit the character of the space while providing individual reflections for reformer training.

Rectangular Mirrors For Barre And Ballet

The second room required two 1800 × 1200mm rectangular mirrors for barre and ballet training. These panels provide clear reflections around the training area while fitting the room’s doorways and available wall space.

Planning For Tight Upstairs Access

The studio is upstairs in a classic Victorian building, with tight turns along the access route. We planned the handling of the mirrors around these constraints to bring the panels into both rooms and position them accurately.
